I had a few fairy encounters when I was very young but the most funny/memorable one was when I met my now-husband and started living with him. SirD does fairy magic and works with the fae quite often adn warned me that the fairies on the property could be quite mischevious. I can't say I wasn't warned...

One evening, at twilight, I was washing dishes and an impish looking little fae popped up in the kitchen window and surprised me enough to drop the plate I was washing. Not long after, the same imp popped up in the bathroom window when I was using the bathroom.

These fairies do a lot of moving things around, especially my jewelry. They especially like these little silver fairy-shaped earrings that I will hang up with my other earrings in the bedroom and the next evening find them in the living room floor. I found if I leave out small bits of broken jewelry, crystal chips and other shiny things they are less likely to mess with my jewelry.

I have found that they can be quite helpful. I lost an aura cleansing earring that SirD bought me at the shop I used to work at. I was very upset by this but gave up looking for it. The next morning the lost earring was on my bedside table. I still give credit to the fae for this.

I remember once when i was a little girl i was running across my living room really fast and tripped. I remember being really freaked out because i couldn't get my hands up fast enough to catch myself before my face hit the wooden floor and i closed my eyes waiting for the hard blow to my face, but it didn't come. After about 10 seconds I opened my eyes and i was literally floating in the air. I was (as you can imagine) quiet surprised and as my muscles relaxed I noticed that it felt like hundreds of fingers were holding me up. After a couple more seconds I slowly sank and was set gently on the ground.

I believe that I've (visually) seen fairies plenty of times, and with this instance I saw absolutely nothing. However, this experience was so different that i thought i should share it, and maybe someone else has experienced something like it. I know I will never forget it Smile

i think i might of had an experiance a few times with something. well, about a year ago it was late at night and i was messaging my BF. i was alone in my room, pretty much asleep, but still kind of aware, when i heard a voice say "hey!". needless to say, that startled me and i was awake long enough to say good night to my bf. i know for a fact it wasn't him because the web cam wasn't on, and i didn't have my earphones on either. this happened twice on 2 separate occasions. then last night, i was lying in bed literally about ready to fall asleep, and i heard the voice again, this time right next to me, and it said "boo!" again it startled me awake, and it wasn't my BF cause he was on the computer working on his server opposite of the side i heard it from. maybe it's a spirit or a faerie wanting to let me know it's here.

sounds like a spirit! or maybe a faerie. nothing to worry about as long as you dont feel threatened or scared. If you do there are a bunch of protective measures you can take. Ive found tons all over the site. On the other hand if it seems playful and friendly i would say hi lol

On a beach, in late June 1976, around sunset in an area where the west coast rainforest meets with the sandy beach, I spotted a glimmering light-blue shimmering column of light forming 100 feet away.  I was wondering what could it be?  So I ran on the beach toward it.  It was situated in a space between two logs right where the mossy forest and trees are.  As I got close to it approximately 15 feet away I saw a bizarre column of almost metallic looking translucent pale dragonfly like wings radiating from it’s lit up core, nearly two feet high.  Wings were pale blue and transparent, almost butterfly shaped at the ends. Maybe 50 of them flapping and all 3 to 4 inches long radiating 360 degrees like a column.  It suddenly vanished into thin air as if by magic.  There was nothing left, no smoke or smell left behind, just the moist bark and sandy soil at the spot where it was.  The forest was peaceful and quiet.  I asked if they wanted to communicate with me ,then I thought perhaps I had witnessed fairies because the wings looked like fairy wings.  I realized I may have scared them away as I ran towards them.  A few years ago I think a little one inch blue orb observed me in a forest from 50 feet away.  It disappeared when it tried to get close.  So I’m thinking there’s blue fairies around because of those wings I saw.  What do you think?

Thanks for sharing that!   Sounds to me that the Faery or Pixies intentionally left that earring for you after they saw you were upset.     I've had things like that happen to me-      The faery and pixies are awesome- I love them- including the mischievious ones!

Wow, Dragonfly Column, I can almost visualize that scene you shared with us!--   It was an honor for you to have seen that-  seems they were showing you that they also share this planet with us-      Sounds like the Column was a portal of theirs.  Maybe you can revisit that area and leave them a gift-  talk to them and introduce yourself to them-   even if you can't see them again.     Realize they are very intelligent Beings that cherish this planet far more than we humans do and should.   Maybe you can ask them to show you how you can be of help to them.

Could be. It certainly sounds like something faerie-related.

There are some really interesting anecdotes here. It's nice to read about them!

I don't really have any stories about the Gentry or fae (as far as I know), though I do have a few supernatural stories which may or may not have been fae-related. I did have a live-in being who I identified as a brownie sitting on top of one of my bookshelves off and on for a few months or more, though.  Since I was very metaphysically active at the time, and I have a weak spot or portal (or whatever you may call it) in front of the door in my bedroom to the adjacent utility closet, I think he was just curious to see how things would progress. He certainly seemed impartially curious. He might have felt like helping with keeping my home secure for a few months on a whim, but it didn't seem like he was there for any reason other than curiosity.

My Da' did have some dealings with the fair folk, in the sense of encounters (not actually deals). The only one I recall in particular was while he was getting a string of warnings from nearly everyone he knew in the occult-ish community. While traveling, he was woken up in his truck by loud banging around the outside of the cabin, while there was nothing outside. I don't recall what made him think it was some sort of cavalry of the Gentry, but there was something.

The blue elongated wings are very baffling to me .I thought perhaps it was my imagination running wild but why would I see several wings sticking outa a column of blue sparkling light? There is a couple of other possibilities I was looking into .An old  book written by a local ufo investigater shows a picture of a transparent blue cylindrical object taken near a river bed. A pictured simulation of a blue "min min" light(Australian) that looks very close to what I saw.Yes and that means at least portals are a possibility.A ranch in Utah was researched called the NIDS ranch.Creature was spotted coming outa a portal.Something ripped wires outa monitor cameras within view of another camera ,nothing could be seen doing it! The natives call it the "skinwalker".So I believe fairies n elves slip in and out of these portals into another dimension and posssible extraterrestials use other dimensions to change physics for favourable space travel.Whatever it is ,is fascinating so I'm investigating fairies, light beings and ufos. Also I went to the beach last summer and the place where the fairie column was had a landslide covered in tons of sand mud n broken trees. Also I wanted to say this, even though its not fae related (because it's too spectacular to not to mention) an orange flying saucer disk with a grey dome on top sighted in November 1996 hovering over my head for 5 minutes till a big miliary helicopter came to shoo it away Surprised which I will never forget. From that time on I have been shocked into awareness that too many strange things are happening to me and others that I know sincerely to just ignore or dismiss them anymore. Fairy looking wings going into a portal fer instance. When you see things like that its too bizzare, fantastic ,you wonder if your having a dream in broad daylight, but you know your not.You try to find a way dismiss it but you can't.Did I actually see fairies? Magic insects?Yes there was the wings.Theres no real good explanation logic can compute! All this is very much bigger than we know!

Dragonfly Column, I 100% believe you saw Faeries in that portal-   Yes, while there are , no doubt, ET's who are also not from our physical dimension, there are Elven and Faery groups as well who enter in and out of our physical dimension-- and I think who you saw were Faery--   Dragonfly-like wings is typical of the kind of wings many have seen on these Beings.   There are many kind of Fae who also don't have wings either.     I couldnt tell if the Pixie Being I saw had wings as she was resting in my hair and my  thick long hair obstructed alot of her except for her face, neck and collar bone.--  The Kind of Being I saw was very diminutive with a  delicate bone structure.

i might of had another experience the other day. i was helping make breakfast the other day, and when i was getting ready to serve it, i heard something like glass breaking or silverware hitting something. everyone in the room heard it, and even though we looked everywhere, we couldn't find the source, which i find weird cause it sounded like it came from right behind me.

Thanks so much, Natalie for unburying this thread!   I can't believe how long it's been since my post about that experience on 5/31/08.   A morning that changed forever, my life as I knew it up to that point.    Never say "never"

I feel to post two of my favorite faery encounters I found online since my own encounter here.  they were posted awhile ago, but were also buried.     After my experience, I began my search for other people's personal encounters and was happy to find that many to this day still experience these Beings!

Here's two of my favorites from the paranormal.about.com website

Faery Friends
by Marlene

It was on the 22nd of June, 1999. I remember it so well. It was around 9 p.m. and I was outside under the growing moon. I was facing the east with my arms stretched up too the sky and I was asking for blesings for all the beautiful people upon Mother Earth. I turned around and looked up on top of the roof of the house, and there hovering about four feet above the tiles were two glowing lights! At first I was logically thinking, maybe it's a cobweb and is glowing under the moon's rays. But no, whatever it was was hovering up and down - both of these glowing light's!

Suddennly, I had this feeling come over me that whatever it was wasn't bad but good. I held my left hand out (the hand too receive) and I said, "It's okay, you can come to me. I mean you no harm." The glowing balls of light hovered down. Then I could see quite clearly that they were faeries. The female one landed right on my left hand, and I could see there was a male faerie hovering just back from her about eight inches away! My feelings told me that these beautiful beings were there for me for a special reason.

Just then my eldest daughter came running out the back door; she was having trouble getting the lid off something and needed help. They were scared away. They just dissapeared like that! I was taken aback with awe and wonder what I had just experienced. After my encounter, I did much research into faeries to learn all about them. I feel that these faeries have some connection with me now; I feel them close by even though they have not shown themselves again to me since this night. I leave them gifts.

Color Fairies
by Yolanda Sarmiento

There are certain amazing occurrences that can be disregarded or easily explained. This story may, or may not, be one of those; it may have all been a hallucination! I have told this story only to immediate family or the closest of relations, and even then I did not tell the whole truth for fear of being disregarded or even scolded for telling falsehoods.

In the summer of 1996, when I was four years old, my aunt came over to visit me and my sisters. We were at that time living at the Sandpiper apartments in Whittier. We went outside to sit in the shade of the tree by our staircase with a water bottle each, and plopped down on the stairs by our apartment.

Everything was fine, and we were just playing and having a good time. All at once, the sky grew darker as a cloud passed over the sun. I didn't get that; there had been not a cloud in sight. Here is where it gets weird. I can last remember hearing laughing that was strangely muffled right before I fell into what could be described as a faint.

I opened my eyes to find a beautiful, almost human face staring back at me, with an expression of confounding. I sat up, confused, but curious. That's when I saw it had wings, light green, gauzelike. I started and heard it speak. It asked why I was there in a soft, dreamy, quizzical voice, then told me, "You should go to the purple one. She'll know." I suddenly found myself before a creature like the other, but with lavender wings.

She sent me to yet another, with orange wings. It was then I noticed that it was gradually getting harder for me to breathe before the orange ‚Äď I guess you could say, "fairy." I was almost gasping and I felt lightheaded.

"You don't belong here," it said, almost angrily. "YOU SHOULD BE IN ANOTHER PLACE! You..." She didn't finish because at that moment a creature that was more grand than all the others with piercing, blue, translucent wings that matched her ocean eyes, alighted from the right of my view.

"You don't go here, not now, not ever again," it said in a voice, soft but striking, like a cloud that turns to thunder. I felt my breath catch in my lungs. As I choked for oxygen, she started a chant of, "Go home. Leave this place. Go home, leave this place."

As she did so, I heard voices around me, muffled. At first, but gaining strength fast, I felt air start to seep into me. I gasped as if taking the breath of life for the first time, and I awoke to find myself on our sofa in the living room surrounded by my parents, sisters and my panic-stricken aunt.

Being only four, and not having a very broad vocabulary, I told them at once, "The green fairy told me to go to the purple fairy, the purple fairy told me to go to the orange fairy, then I saw the blue fairy and she told me to go home," all in one breath. They didn't know what to make of it and it wasn't mentioned again. It may have all been a dream or something, I imagined.

But when I came to, I could have sworn I saw a blue shimmer out of the corner of my eye. But when I turned, of course, there was nothing there. I still sometimes dream of them, but they are never substance or vivid as "the day I passed-out" as my parents call it. However, I'll never forget my pass-out fairies.

Your True Tales

Fairy Castle
by Dreamer24

Most people my age don't even consider the existence of fairies and elves to be true. But I think otherwise. You see, for a long while my eyes were opened to a beautiful and unbelievable world. It began only a few weeks after my family moved to Pennsylvania. Being only eight at the time, I was in the backyard playing with some of my toys when I looked over and saw a very small woman, only about three inches high. She had a flowing white dress on and her hair was reddish brown; whether or not it was tied up I do not recall.

I had exceptional knowledge for my age and I ran inside immediately shouting with great excitement, "Mom, dad! I saw a fairy! I SAW A FAIRY!" My mother had seen a fairy as a child and she believed me. I've never been sure if my dad did; it was hard to tell if he thought I was just playing a game of sorts and that he should go along with the ride.

I went back outside not too long after and slowly I could see and understand their world more and more. I told only my immediate family and a few close friends, whose names I will leave anonymous. My friends were a bit skeptical at first, but then they could see them too. We built fairy houses out of natural materials. We helped them decorate for festivals. I know it sounds like a made-up child's game; I know it sounds like a few girls with overactive imaginations, and that's what I feared too, but there are some things that I could not explain.

I just had my first real experience with faeries last night. I must say it was unexpected, especially because my altar had just been started. I woke up and all of a sudden I saw these shapes in the air! They let me see them, though, not in detail. The air warped and shimmered where they were and there were 2 or 3 of them. From the way the air shimmered, they seemed to be a foot, foot and a half tall with a small wingspan. I was so pleased by their presence, but instead of being all excited and possibly scaring them away, I told them I was a friend and that they were welcome here. One hovered in front of me for a few seconds. Then it went over and studied the charm to ward off the troublesome faeries for a little while. After watching for a few more I seconds, I rolled over and went back to sleep because I knew they wouldn't want me watching them all the time. I live in Canada and last night I went out to get some supplies and bits of nature for their shrine. It was raining. As I walked I made up a little song/chant. When I got home, I played music on youtube by Celtic Passion that I thought they may enjoy. It was amazing! I didn't think it would really happen so fast! This morning I put out an offering of honey, and I'll be also sharing some peppermint tea.

Well awhile ago I placed out pretty rocks and food for the fay and that night I saw a pretty blue light swirling around the food. That was my first encounter, today I was putting my dog away in her cage and as I was leaving I heard someone say something - I thought about it all evening first I thought it was prepare, then I thought harder and as I was outside withhands placed firmly on a tree streching I knew what it was pacients. I was getting so worried I wasn't going to see anything and this was so reassuring

Wow, you two- both experiences sound really wonderful!

Alexandra,  many have seen the Faey appear as blue lights-  Some say that the Pixies appear in blue like that.   In any case, what an honor!   I'd keep up putting sweet things out for them..

Sonic skywalker, that is soooo cool!!   From other encounters i've been reading, others have also noticed that shimmery air look when the feaery were around-   some compare it with the way the air looks above a really hot road when you are driving--

I think the fae were happy with your Welcome area for them and you perked thier curiousity ūüôā¬†¬†¬† They watch us humans alot- I'm so thrilled your eyes were temporarily opened to see them to some degree !¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†

I hope they are reading this forum with you online and see how we all love them and are honored to be in thier presence!

hugs

lisa
