I've had several encounters with the Fae, but today I'd like to share my most meaningful.
When I was around eight, I saw my first fairy. It was on a night in the summer that I was lying in bed...tired, but unable to sleep. I remember looking at the clock to see that it was around midnight. Well, as I was tossing and turning in my sheets, something bright, red, and orange caught the corner of my eye. I twisted my head around to look at it, and right outside of my bedroom window was a bright, flaming, winged fairy.
Her eyes were tilted upwards, the pupils a glittering gold. She had no irises, which was pretty interesting. Her hair was made of red flames, and floated around her head, as if she was underwater. Her wings were large and her skin was orange, but the flames didn't appear to bother her at all. The fairy also wore a gold and orange dress. She wasn't exactly corporeal, but she wasn't just mist either. Her substance could only be described as fire.
Well, when my mind had digested all of this, I screamed and hid at the other side of my bed, away from the window. When I was brave enough to peek out of my covers, she was gone.
It's been years later, and I've still never forgotten that night...and I don't think I ever will. I'm just extremely thankful to have met her...even if I was screaming my lungs out.
Thank you so much for sharing your encounter with us- I just -- after many weeks- got a chance to get over here and your encounter is the first forum post I read after so long!
I truly believe you that you saw an actual Faery Being- Probably one who ministers with the fire element.
You may have read my Faery encounter that I posted some years ago here- I'm a Christian- but one who doesnt like putting God into a box- so I asked Him if He would confirm to me that the Faery actually exist- and are not all demons as some say. I asked Him to allow me to meet one of these Beings if it were okay with Him- and that it was all in His hands for When, How , Where, Etc.
I forgot that prayer, but then after a huge family crisis- that following morning when I was sad and alone, my eyes were temporarily opened to see a Faery looking up at me with total unselfish Empathy for my sadness- like she was feeling what I Was feeling WITH me. She was resting in my hair under the morning sunlight coming through the window. She had light soft cocoa brown skin. Her eyes were also tilted up and wide-set. She also had no irises either- her eyes were a deep chocolate brown, and beautiful. Not evil . She had a high forehead and delicate features- high cheekbones, a small tapered chin and nose- She looked very regal - like someone of royalty with her Kind- but also with that she had an innocence and humbleness about her too.
There were other rare times I had a life breaking visitation from the Unseen . The first time was with Jesus Christ back in the 1990's. His personality was mirrored in that faery I saw. I never mentioned that visitation here, as this forum is about Faeries and Elves but I feel that visitation tied in with Him answering my prayer to see a faery.
Further confirmation to me was when I saw a YouTube Video (I posted it recently in our General Forum) of Howard Storm-- one of his interviews where he shares how in his Near Death experience, God showed him how He not only made humans, but there are tons of universes and tons of dimensions on each universes. Some of these Beings He created before us look very much like us, but many totally do not! Check out "Howard Storm" on You Tube and that video will pop up. I think the title of it says something like "Howard Storm speaks about other Intelligent Life" or something like that!
Again, thanks so much for sharing your awesome encounter- I totally believe you and reading about who you saw reminds me so much of that Faery I was blessed to see back on that 5/31/08--- a morning I will never forget the rest of my life.

My friend Michael caught a fairy in the woods behind Madison's house. He was keeping her in a hamster cage but she got out. Strange things have been happening and she's been blowing pixie dust in his breath when she thinks he's asleep. Now a second fairy has appeared in his room but her sister fairy did not like it. Read about these encounters at his blog. http://captivefairy.blogspot.com/

I think I've actually made some faerie friends. I woke up this morning, it was still dark, and saw 2 of them coming over to me. I recognized one but not the other. I can't yet see them as they are but I do see their outlines. One had wings that resembled Tinkerbell's wings, but they didn't move. She simply hovered. The other one has wings that do move and are larger. They came over to me and I sat up and I could feel that they were happy. The one I knew is the one that didn't resemble Tinkerbell. She flew into my room one day after being startled by my roommate who had just come home from work. I'd left food on the table. The one who hovered came up close so I put out my hand. She touched it and I got little energy shivers. After a bit they went on their way and I slept deep until morning. I love having them around. Especially when they've decided I'm someone they want to know!

Hello Natalie and other RF posters on this thread.
I've had an abundance of experiences, of both what I believe is fae, and what I believe is a demon, or spiritual entities. I do have beings I need clarification for.
1. Me and my close friend were sitting in my room one time, and the whole room flashed with a gold light. We both reacted the same time and turned to look were the light was coming from, it was inside my room just inside the window where the curtain didn't cover it. There was a large golden orb. It moved so fast and was so bright it actually left a trail of light like a laser as it left my room through the window (which was glass and can not be opened, so it went through the glass). During this time I had been seeing many fae outside my window, but normally they appear smaller and a different colour. What was this likly? I assume feary, but it appeared different to me then was normal. It was also the first to visibly enter my room.
2. While out walking with a friend (the same friend as above) we sort of… jokingly edged the fea to communicate and appear to us. I had been trying sometime, and basically said ''come on already, I know you can do it.''…Which I learned was definitly not a good thing to say… And later apologized for.
We were out in a natural area, and coming up the hill. I was ahead of my friend. Coming up the trail I seen a black (It was all the same dark shade of black, almost just like a black shape) being on the rock I believe me and my friend were sitting on when we edged the fae on.
It stood there for a minute. I remember thinking when it noticed me it would fly off. It had wings, which I think I noticed before it left. I was right, when it noticed me if flew off, very speedily. It was maybe around the size of a cat. It felt demonic to me, but I didn't think it would attack me. When it flew off it disapeared in flight maybe a second after it took off.
The walk home was unpleasent. Everything was eerily silent, and it was night. But the energy felt still and threatnening as well. I remember wondering if more of those beings were up in the trees, my friend said she seen one there, but I didn't look to find out. The road was surrounded by mist, though it didn't seem to be coming from any cars or buildings, and the rest of the town was clear. Me and my friend both apologized when we got to her house. The rest of the night was fine.
3) This was definitly not fae. I woke up and on my pillow in front of me was a slightly levitating knot. It was small, maybe half an inch tall. It reminded me of static. I think it was also spining as it levitated. The 'strings' of the knot were not tightly fitting, and seemed to have an exact shape, and they were wirey.
Normally these things disapear after I blink, but this stayed firmly in place until I shot up, and then I got the feeling it was alarmed and I believe it dashed and disapeared in almost the same instant.
I hope someone is able to shed some light on these beings!

Faery don't always look and feel nice, demon is just a label, as far as I am aware they were faery or something similar before they were ever considered demons. With no 2 it was likely a fae that either you saw by coincidence or decided to scare you a bit.
No 3 I have no idea what they were, but faery do take on odd shapes and sometimes you are just seeing them awkwardly.
No 1 seems to happen a lot to people, faery don't seem to be hindered by stuff like glass and walls. It's likely the same or similar to the others outside your window just a bit bigger.

I really don't think faeries are the answers to all my questions. I figured the golden one was fae, but I was wondering what sort, as it was different then all the others. Your right that its probably just like the others, only bigger. I'm sure it does happen to quite a few people.
Also, I'm not ready to believe demons were all once faeries. This did not feel like fae to me, and if it was, then it was. However I also wasn't confirming I believe it was a demon, I said that was a possibility. But this creature felt more like a dark, bat-like gargoyle of sorts. And feral. Not just a labeled feary. Though it is possible, and certainly possible it was presenting the way it did to me to scare me.
And I'm aware fae need not be hindered by glass and walls, I was just trying to be in depth with my description.
On #3. It really could have been anything taking that shape. But I had a feeling it was studying me, and was of a 'group' all its own. Most of what I'm going by to describe these experiences are the feelings the beings present, I've learnt thats one of the only way to tell. But I'm probably not always right.
I appriciate you taking the time to reply to me, andsharing your answer, and you may be right, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to believe it was all fae without enough explanation.

That's ok 🙂 since I was not there I can only go off my own experience and stuff I looked up online or read in books, it is better to trust your own judgement on these things. I thought it worth mentioning that faery have been known to take on some very strange shapes before. There are many species encompassed by the word faery today, I once saw dragons being classed as a faery before, it makes identifying kinda awkward :/

Indeed always best to trust your own judgement on these things! Though nice to take others experiences and advice into account as well. Which I have to remind myself sometimes.
Yeah it really does make it awkward! Faery is a very wide term, I'm not sure if it was always, but I know that depending on who your talking to and studies involved and beings involved, it can get complicated and awkward, and kind of foggy. Also, everyone has their own idea of what a faery is, which adds even more to the confusion along with the all the species encompassed.

I sort of don't really know where to start off with this – I suppose it would be good to start way back to when I first took interesting the paranormal and mystical. I believe it started with a good sense of childish curiosity, when you've heard things that couldn't possibly be true but wanted so badly for it to happen and truly be true. It sorta was edged on by those silly paranormal shows about ghosts and demons, of which I really believed – it all seemed true to me for some reason; I have never really doubted the existence of other beings. And I, never having my own experiences, really wished to have something of the sort happen to me; it intrigued me and I didn't care what happened – good or bad – as long as it happened. Anyway, I had been researching into the paranormal for some time; finding a few good forums and story websites to read up on other people's experiences. I don't really recall what brought me to the idea of the fae but I had just been randomly searching the web and happened upon this site actually, and after doing more reading and searching was really, really involved in anything that I could do to catch the fae's attention. I started playing Enya a lot, drawing pictures of what I thought faeries would look like – spurred on by the description that Lisa A. – Grey Eyes had posted with her experience – and I had even set out a few m&ms for the fae to take, leaving a little note telling them that I was friendly and meant no harm and that it was really an honor to me for having them in my home. After a week or so of nothing happening I sort of lost the passion that I had first developed for them; the m&ms hadn't been touched and hadn't seen hide nor hair of them. I gave up. That was probably about a year or so ago, and it wasn't until much more recently that things have started to happen – much to my disbelief and utter surprise.
The first experience I had with them – I'm still not completely sure of what I had seen or even if it was the fae, it just happened so suddenly and without provocation that I didn't have much time to process it- happened when I was outside, in my backyard. My backyard is very big, we have about 2 or 3 acres that are mostly covered in forestry, with a small creek that runs along the edge of our property. Anyway, I was outside with my best friend – both her and I are devoted Christians, though I'd have to say she is more devoted than I am – we were messing around and role-playing (where we sort of act out our own stories – it's sort of childish but we both enjoy it so much). I don't remember exactly what we were role-playing at the time but I do remember that I was sort of skirting the edge of the forest, the forest floor covered in leaves from the beginning of autumn. I had not really been paying all that much mind to my surroundings – as I had been focused on the story and the acting – when I approached a kind of decayed tree-stump; that sort of had surrounding branches that created a rough circle around it. I had been unfocused-ly trailing my gaze along the edge of the forest when it ran over the tree-stump circle, a sudden movement attracting my attention. I stopped, wondering what I had just seen. It had looked like a blurry white bug, but had moved so fast that I hadn't gotten a good look at it. It had quickly fluttered into the security of the tree-stump and, now that I think about it, I probably had started the poor thing when I came clambering towards it. I remember hearing a sort of quick fluttery sound when it had moved, but, not wanted to draw my friend's attention to it, I left it alone, glancing back towards that area every so often. I was never sure what I had seen that day.
My second experience happened much more recently, maybe back at the beginning of this month – May. It was a pretty similar situation to the first experience except this time I was outside role-playing with the same friend plus my boyfriend. We were making our own story, this time I was acting as an elf character who was an assassin – very unlikely if it were to be put into real world, though we were thinking more along a fantasy – action storyline. Now, my character being an assassin I had to do a lot of sneaking around, so as I made my way away from my friends I creeped around to the backyard, standing underneath one of the very large oak tree that are near the back porch. I was sneaking along to try to get a good look at where my friends were when suddenly, a long, blue, dragonfly looking being – too big to be a bug (at least one that is normally seen around where I live) but too small to be a bird (it also made a sort of dragonfly – hummingbird sound with it's wings as it flew past) – again, it had sped by so fast that I had not been able to get a good look at it. I stood stunned for a little while before I brushed it off as a bug, not fully believing myself. Somehow though, I always had a feeling that it wasn't a bug – it COULDN'T be a bug – but I found it sort of hard to believe that I would be able to see a faerie much less that the faerie would WANT me to see it.
I'm really not sure what to think about all this; was it really the fae that I had seen? Why was one white and the other blue? I've never really done anything all that special for them, why would they reveal themselves to me? Was it chance? Will I see them again? I really hope so, it fills me with such awe, wonder and hope.
June 29, 2013
Hainoki-wow, that's pretty awesome. Perhaps the fairies like you for their own reasons, who knows? I hope you see them again, and maybe clarify what happened.
I think I once had an encounter with fairies. It was maybe sometime last year, back when my mom planted flowers in my front yard. I really like flowers, so I liked to sit by them at around twilight when it was cool out, and play my ocarina flute. I already knew about fairies, so I wondered if they'd like my playing. Then, when I looked up at the sky, I saw a light fly across it, almost like a comet, or shooting star, only it was a beautiful greenish blue color. Now, I am quite open minded, but I always look for a logical explanation before jumping to conclusions, so I passed it off as a shooting star of some sort, or maybe a satellite. But it wasnt ten minutes later that I saw not one, but two more, that same glowing aqua color. One kind of made U turn, so I doubted it was any of the above, and as I got a second look, they seemed to be closer, maybe twenty-thirty feet high, but small.
What do you guys think?

Recently went through a difficult time when me young dwarf rabbit had Meningitis and in a moment of absolute sadness and being distraught I saw two green fairies while cleaning the rabbit's pen. One waited for the other then flew to another part of the garden.
Yes fairies and nature spirits are even present in South Africa, we have also heard beautiful music, I receive messages.
Visited a medium who told me I'm allowed to enter in a fairy circle , we have three. My question is what to do in such a circle, any advise? Any good spells that work, where I don't need to mix ingredients? Also learnt that I 'm a Clairvoyant
Apparently the soil has Irridium mineral in it in our yard
Many other experiences in recent weeks, saw many orbs and other objects on infrared cameras flying around the house.
Any advice that the others members would like to share with me would be welcome

This happened about a year ago, it may just be coincidence, but I am inclined to think not! I was getting ready to go out and dropped one of my rainbow moonstone earrings, it didn't turn up despite my searching my room thoroughly including the unlikely places such as the far side of the room and inside drawers and pockets. I very rarely wear jewellery anyway and it wasn't a big problem, but it was a mystery how it had disappeared so completely! Not really expecting an answer, I said to the fairies out loud that if they had my earring, I didn't mind at all but I would appreciate it back. It wasn't until a few weeks later, the earring suddenly reappeared in a bag that had been nowhere near me when I dropped it, and which I had searched several times already!

i have... basically, im a loner so i spend most my time deep in the forest, a dew days ago, i was bored of the same old place etc, so i crossed the rive (something i had been warned NEVER to do) and eventually found myself deep deep in the forest it was darker than usual even though it was 1 pm.. i felt something off as if someone was watching me, i turned around looking in a full circle seeing nothing except the unclear image of a boy about my age (14-15) duck behind a tree, from what a saw he had piercing blue eyes, silver hair, pointy ears and a legit sword with him. i quickly ran after him but there was nothing there except a flower that looked like a flame. this is creepy as my name is Emba..

It all happened so quickly! I have never really thought about fairies being real as an adult, although I used to spend my entire childhood in the woods searching for them (with never an encounter). Yesterday I was looking up the magickal properties of herbs in my garden and most of them were said to attract fairies. I was suddenly very intrigued and then spent ALL of yesterday reading this site and one other and basically shaking and unable to stop reading about them.
Last night I took some clay (I make jewelry) and fashioned a little plate, a bowl, and a mug that I baked to set and then I filled the bowl with homemade rosemary potato soup, the mug with homemade strawberry basil kombucha, and arranged a blueberry, a ball of date paste, some flaked coconut, and a cherry tomato on the plate. I placed them outside rnext to my rosemary plant which has some shiny trinkets around it already. I said aloud "This is for the fairies." As soon as I said that, I heard a noise behind me which sounded like a hiss but could have been a stirring of leaves or something else. My heart was pounding and I went immediately back to my room which has a window that looks out on the patio where I left the gifts. As soon as I went in the room and glanced at the window, a ball of yellow light about 1.5 inches across did a little circle right up against the glass.
This morning, one side of the curtain in my kitchen window was pulled down off the hook. Right behind the hook is where my iron skillet hangs. I put the skillet away in a lower cabinet and said out loud that I was sorry for leaving that out, I really hadn't thought about it!

Hello everyone, i have a fae story to tell you all that happened to me about 4-5 months ago (that is just a guess) so lets get started. I was meditating about 5 minutes into the meditation out of nowhere i heard a female voice singing. It was the most beautiful singing ive ever heard. It was in a diffrent language switching in and out of english, two of the words i can remember are Sirens Blow these are the words that i can remeber.
Please tell me your thoughts and any knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Someone posted "piercing, blue, translucent wings that matched her ocean eyes, alighted from the right of my view." I just love that description! I had a girlfriend tell me once that I had pale blue ocean eyes and it made me blush
So, my encounters!
After a lifetime of NEVER losing ANYTHING, I started losing stuff! A lot! At first, I started thinking I was accidentally dropping these items into the void or something, and told friends about how sometimes things would magically show back up in a weird spot. Then I found out this is a trick or prank of the Fae, and it was like oooooooh! Well, at least I'm not losing my mind (hopefully).
My first sighting was the very night I started reading a Faerie-witch book I bought on a whim. I woke up on the verge of laughter the next morning right at dawn. I don't remember any dream, but I recall how odd it felt to be practically laughing upon waking up. Then I looked over and there was this silhouette of a tinker-bell looking creature, maybe 8 inches tall or so, hanging out by some blooming Paperwhites flowers in my room. She hung out for maybe a good 10 seconds or so, fading in and out of sight depending on how scared I felt - I'd calm down and she'd show up again, until she left for good. Then I got up to get dressed, and looked at the clock - it was like 3am, yet it was light outside, like that gray dawn light. And there was no moon, it was heavily overcast. But it was so light I could see well enough to go walking in the woods - which I did not!
The next encounter was in a dream. I saw 3 faeries, about 3-5 inches tall, sitting on a tree branch across the street. The first to make my acquaintance was a girl who ended up being maybe 5'5" or so? Short dark hair in a pixie cut sorta deal, slender frame, super cute! I had some successive dreams where she'd come and talk to me and we got more comfortable with each other, and then the second of the 3, a male, about the same height as the girl, maybe slightly taller, with I think lighter colored hair? Sandy blonde, maybe. But he had a sort of attitude - I don't remember exactly what we said to each other, but I remember we met at the end of my driveway and his 'tude made me somewhat miffed and I poutingly threw a rock after him as he was walking back toward his tree branch. The third one is super shy I think, and she hasn't introduced herself to me yet. Then the first one decided to crawl into bed with me to take a nap and I got kinda nervous and was like "You're not gonna be mad if I have others in bed with me at some point are you?" I don't remember the response - I woke up then.
At this point I think it's fair to mention - I basically don't have dreams I remember that aren't nightmares. Maybe every month or two I have a bad dream that freaks me out anywhere from hours to days at a time, so this rather whimsical dream is incredibly odd.
I've always seen things out of the corner of my eye, and that trend has been escalating of late - tho it seems the latest additions of the figures aren't so ominous as some of the ones I see, which is cool! It still scares me a bit but pretty much everything does anyway :p
I've also been hearing things - the best thing I heard was some rather child-like laughter when I put some peanut butter on a spoon and left it out for any "friendlies", and then there's a lot of small things I can't identify.
In all honesty, I am a bit worried that my already tenuous grasp on reality is becoming less so, and this fear is shared by my SO. I won't go into details but...I guess we're both a bit worried that indulging in this sort of fantastical pseudo-reality involving Faeries and magic and such is allowing, or encouraging, my mind to sort of de-tether. So it is comforting to know there are other people that have experiences, and THEY'RE not crazy, so perhaps there is some hope for my sanity after all 🙂
Be well, everyone!
