Ruth’s Latest Find in the Forest

Since everyone seemed to enjoy Ruth’s previous photos, I thought I would share two photos that Ruth took about a week ago.  Here is the story in her own words:

Hello Natalie! Here are some pictures from my walk in the woods last Friday with my daughter and our two dogs.  These are the same woods where I took the misty bird-like (dragon?) pictures a couple years ago.

I have a loop that I walk in these woods and I usually walk the loop at least twice. On our second time around, just on our way out, I noticed a mossy stump that I thought looked especially “interesting.”

I told my daughter about it and asked her if she thought this particular stump didn’t look special and she said that it looked like a “faery crown” to which I smiled and agreed with her!

Just as I was walking past this stump, something caught my eye. I saw something inside this stump and had to stop and bend over to get a closer look.

Inside of this stump was a tiny vintage porcelain china faery doll! We couldn’t believe it! I brought it home with me and cleaned it up and now it’s sitting happily on my dresser in our bedroom.

I looked up the name on the bottom of it which says “Acme China – Japan” and I found an image of one exactly like it and it shows it’s circa 1940-1950!

The circa 1940-1950 Fairy Figure found hidden inside the mossy stump.

Considering all the other phenomenal things happening in this same forest which we talked about here, it’s hard to believe this was just a coincidence, isn’t it? 🙂

Thanks for sharing your latest story and photos with us Ruth!

I find this very interesting. Ruth and her family are incredibly lucky to have such amazing talents! I was wondering if there is a reason her family is more perceptive to the fae?

I have a question about something you have said in the past. You said Mr. E is staying in Lakeside because it’s close to where you live. But you also said the fae don’t build where humans have built. I was wondering if you meant it’s near where you live, or how that works. This brings me to my next question, can they see us and or our buildings? And would we be able to see their buildings?

Thank you for another intriguing post!

That is so sweet! Maybe someone else sensed fae around there too and gave them a gift or maybe it is from the fae themselves! I would put something back in it’s place for good measure. 😉 My daughter found a little brown hand stitched pouch with a nice sized lemurian crystal in it once on our walks. We picked it up and replaced it with a pouch of our own with one of our own crystals. 🙂

Great idea Kida! I’m sure they would really appreciate that.

I was thinking the same thing, Kida! I’ve been leaving organic apples in a few special spots in these woods for years and I’ve also left some pretty stones and a couple of crystals back when we first discovered this beautiful place. I’ve seen and heard many curious things here but this is the first time I’ve found anything like this tucked away! I’ve got an idea of what I might give in return next time I go for a walk there. 🙂

Oh, I’m happy to hear of all the little offerings you’re leaving! Organic apples and crystals sound wonderful! I’m sure you’re in the ‘good books’ so to speak then and you can feel at ease accepting the figurine. I hope you have more magical encounters there. 🙂 Kida

Okay…I spoke with my daughter on the phone after posting my reply and I brought up to her about our walk in the woods when this happened. I mentioned to her how interesting I thought her calling the mossy stump a “faery crown” when I had pointed it out to her and she said “I never said that!” I said “Yes, you did! When I pointed it out to you, you said it was a ‘faery crown’!” She said “No, I didn’t! All I said was ‘that’s a cool stump’!” I told her I swore it was her speaking it quite loudly in my left ear “faery crown” and it was at that exact moment I looked down at it smiling and the little figurine caught my eye! I swear I saw her turn around to me and heard her voice say it was a faery crown, but she says that’s not at all what she had said to me! 😀

What I’m trying to say above is that all this time since this happened in the woods I thought my daughter was the one who called the stump a “faery crown” and she thought it was my idea…but the reality of it was that it was neither hers nor mine…the thought or suggestion came from someone else and it was precisely after I ‘heard’ that thought or suggestion was when I saw the figurine! 🙂
