What Do You Want to Know About Pixies?

Our May podcast will be mainly about pixies–the small, flying fae, the ones you often think of when you hear the word “fairy.”  So, since I am preparing for the next podcast, I was wondering if you have questions that are related specifically to pixies.

If you do have pixie questions, please include them in a comment below.  You can also quickly record a question about them here and that will also be included in our podcast.

Thanks so much, I look forward to reading or hearing your questions!

Greetings, Queen Emerald, Mr. E., Susan, and Natalie

I have many questions about the Pixies please forgive me, and LOTS of love, and light 🙂

    1) Do Pixies have magical symbols like the Elves? Protection, love, anything that says love
    for the Pixie nation?

    2) What are Pixie, and Elven weddings like? Would like to know about the ceremonies

    3) Should Pixie houses be placed inside, or outside? And if outside, should they be insulated,
    and furnished?

    4) Is Pixie religion the same as Elven religion, to meditate, and to do, or is it something

    5) Besides moving things, what is Pixie dust specifically used for?

    6) How tall can a Pixie be at their full extended height?

    7) How do the Pixies, and Elves celebrate Halloween, known to some as Saimhain?
Are there any ceremonies that they do?

Those are great questions Dena, thanks for asking them. I will try to get answers to all of them for you!

  2. Fatima April 23, 2016 at 9:18 am

Hi! I wasn’t sure where to ask this question, haha. Anyways, I think I might have been visited by the Fae in my dreams? I went to sleep and I hoped the fae would visit me, but nothing happened. I woke up in the morning and I was disappointed. Unusually, I fell back asleep, and I had a lucid dream. I called out to the fairies and 5 creatures ( I assume are fairies) appeared. They looked like nature! They told me to let go of all my worries and fears. Sorry this comment is super long! I’m just wondering if this really was the fae, or my imagination? Thanks in advance!

    1. Can pixies make themselves look like other things such as bugs or animals? If so, how do you known if it’s really a pixie?

    2. What kind of flowers or plants do pixies like?

    3. Can pixies (or fairies in general) sense your intentions? Do they know if you’re being sincere or not?

    4. How do I know if a pixie has bad intentions? Is there a way to keep those with bad intentions away?

    5. How do I invite good pixies into my home?

    6. How do I let pixies (or faeries in general) know that I believe in them?

Sorry for so many questions! I hope you get to answer them! Blessings <3

Hi! Here are a few questions regarding pixies (or Fae in general):

    1. Is it true that reading the old fairy tales is a good way to connect with the Fae?

    2. We live in an old cottage-style house along Lake Erie, and usually strange occurrences happen, such as knick knacks being missing or found in odd places, little figures running across the carpet (seen by my sister), and seemingly invisible “things” that drive my dog crazy. Could this be attributed to pixies, given the location and age (~90 years old) of the house?

    3. What do pixies think of the human arts/culture/sciences? Do they have styles and such that are particular to a certain time (like our decades had their own styles/music) or is this strictly a human thing?

    4. What on earth do pixies/elves do for fun in the winter? Do they just hunker down and hibernate, or do they partake in winter activities like humans (skiing, snowboarding, stargazing, etc.)?

I have a bunch more, but I won’t overload you! Thank you!

I love these questions, thanks for asking them! We will definitely try to get you some answers!

  7. Rue April 27, 2016 at 3:09 pm

I’m sorry if this might be offensive but not so long ago i read up on some British folklore for a school project and I stumbled over stories of fairies and changeling children.
I know that of course there are many types of fairies and maybe the stories aren’t even true, but well, yeah that’s my question.

What is the deal with these changeling children? Are the stories true? and what would the fairies be gaining from something like this? If they had alliances with other species wouldn’t they be more reluctant to help the fairies?

    • Natalie Lynn April 28, 2016 at 1:04 pm

Good questions, Rue, even though I don’t think this actually relates to pixies. 🙂 I will try and get you some answers, if not in this podcast (since we have so many pixie questions) maybe the next one. Thanks for asking, they are very interesting questions.

      • Rue April 28, 2016 at 1:18 pm

Ah! Sorry i guess the moment i read pixie i just automatically thought of fairies in general 😉
Thank you for wanting to included them at a later time though. The last podcast was great btw. i’m really looking forward to the next one

      • Natalie Lynn April 28, 2016 at 1:27 pm

No problem, lots of people connect the word “fairies” with pixies. 🙂 They are great questions though! Thanks for the kind words about our first podcast, they are very appreciated!!

    Nice work ?

  9. Dena April 28, 2016 at 9:51 pm

Hi Natalie, it’s Dena, I had a few more thoughts.

    1) When leaving an offering for the Gentry that is not food, what besides crystals do they
like, and what are we to do with the object afterwards; being that they only take of it’s

    2) On the site it was mentioned by Mr. E. that romantic relationships between Faeries,
and human beings are discouraged. Maybe this could be the focus for one of your
podcasts, as I am curious on the subject.

I don’t know if this has been ask by other, but just in case:
1—what are the pixie’s culture? Does it varies from area to area?
2—What are their facial features like? Humanoid? skin color?
3–What are common norms for the Pixies you interact with?
4–How would anyone piss off a pixie? Is that dangerous? How would you escape if you did piss off one?
5–How to get on their good side?

  11. Marcelle May 12, 2016 at 2:02 am

Hey Natalie it’s me Marcelle. Actually I got a lot of questions to ask you regarding pixie.

    – How tall can a pixie grow?
    – Are pixies harmless?
    – Do they have wings?
    – Are they friendly?
    – What gender is the pixie?
    – How do they look like?
    – What do they eat?
    – What is the difference between fairies and pixie?

There’s actually a lot more questions that I wanna ask you regarding this but this is the main question. And could you post a sample of how does a pixie looks like. I would really appreciate if you solve this questions for me. Thank you

  12. Natalie Lynn May 12, 2016 at 10:57 am

Thanks, everyone, you gave us some really great questions! We will do our best to answer all of them on the May podcast coming up soon. For now, I am going to close the comments because we are now working on the podcast and can’t include any new questions at this point. I will give you an opportunity to ask questions for the June podcast in a week or two. Thanks again!
